Meet the Class of 2025

Haven’t had time to look through the several hundred introduction posts from the Class of 2025? Don’t worry. “The Wellesley Snooze” has got you covered. We’ve done you the favor of compiling the most common Wellesley introduction posts so you’ll feel more connected to the fresh meat—I mean first-years—as they roam the campus.

The New Yorker™

Hey everyone! My name is Blair Rockefeller-Vanderbilt-Koch-Whitney-Houston VIII and I’m from nyc, but I spend myweekends at my family’s house in easthampton, so I sorta consider myself a dual citizen of the city and the Hamptons lol. I went to Constance Billard for high school, where I was captain of our model UN team, and I’m planning on double majoring in IR-econ and sociology. My biggest pet peeve is when people from New Jersey, Westchester, or Long Island say they’re from the city. Like you’re not lol. Anyways, I’m super excited to meet people from all over the world! I’m still deciding between Wellesley and Barnard, but I’m leaning towards Wellesley because I’d love to experience the traditional suburban culture that I missed out on!

The “I forgot that was a state”

Hello everybody! I’m Dolores and I’m from Pawnee, West Dakota! I’m so excited to come to Wellesley so I can live in a dorm (I grew up in a barn on my parents’ sustainable farm)! I love animals of all kinds and even wrote my common app about Hedwig, my pet mountain goat. For my astrology fiends out there, I’m a Scorpio Sun, Cancer moon, and COVID rising! I’m planning on majoring in biology or environmental studies and I am currently training to be an EMT! Where are all my pre-med peeps at? I fell in LOVE with Wellesley during spring open campus and I can’t wait to meet everyone!

The “Prep”

Salutations! I’m Daphne Zuckerberg, and I could not be happier to be at my fifth-choice school! I got a 1570 on my SAT, a 35 on my ACT, a 5 on AP Bio, a 4 on AP Psych (but it totally should have been a 5) and 3 hours of sleep last night! When I’m not studying in a world-class library or cold-emailing my resume to Fortune 500 CEOs, I love chilling in my coziest high school merch and asking people to chance me on College Confidential. I’m so excited to visit Boston, but especially Cambridge because all of my friends are at Harvard and MIT (both of which I was waitlisted at, BTW). Tatte study date, anyone?! Anyway, can’t wait to meet you all! Add me on LinkedIn at: linkedin.com/in/daphne-zuckerberg.

The “California Gurl”

Hey besties! My name is Ryeleigh and I’m basically from Los Angeles, California because I only live four hours outside of the city! I could not be more hype to be at Wellesley! Gonna be super real with y’all, I’m actually super nervous about the winters because I have never. Seen. Snow. Crazy, right? So, if any of you lovely humans have recommendations for some good winter coats and boots, drop ‘em in the comments! I’m vegan, lactose-intolerant, gluten-free, peanut-sensitive, and on Fridays I do keto, so I would love to explore the restaurant scene in Boston! A fun fact about me is that I went to high school with George Clooney’s sister’s brother-in-law’s daughter’s cousin. I’m super obsessed with Olivia Rodrigo right now, so if anyone wants to have a listening party together I’d be totally down 🙂

The “Gap Year”

What’s up all you happy campers! I’m Patagonia, but I go by Patty for short. I’m from scenic Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I spend my time skiing, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, sit-down paddle boarding, snowboarding, bobsledding, luging, ice skating, white water rafting, rock climbing, skydiving, cosplaying as Katniss Everdeen, wood carving, bird watching, scuba diving in Salt Lake, kayaking, weaving friendship bracelets, canoeing, fire starting, camping, and whittling figurines of my closest friends out of birch bark. I just got back from my super enlightening gap year where I crafted tampons for middle and upper-middle-class lesbians in need. When I wasn’t doing charitable work, I was doing other standard gap-year stuff like folding t-Shirts at the Gap (hit me up if you want a discount!). You’ll never see me without my handy Swiss Army knife or cargo short-pocket-size screwdriver!

The “Texan”

Howdy, y’all! My name is Vivian Sweetwater, and I’m from Dallas, Texas! I’m thrilled to meet everyone, new and old. Some fun facts about me: I’m socially conservative but fiscally conservative, I’ve been to 47 out of the 50 states, plus Guam, and I’m a proud supporter of Texas’ secession from the US—any other lone-star-staters out there?? For fun, I love to go to Whataburger with my friends, Chick-Fil-A with my family and Schlotzsky’s with my priest. I’m planning on galloping over my horse Lil Sebastian with me to Wellesley as my ESA, so dm me if you want to ride him! Also, does anyone know about on-campus horse parking?? If so dm me!

The “Social Activist”

Hey guys, gals, and non-binary pals! My name is Performa Teev, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I’m hoping to major in econ (on the finance track) or poli sci, but totally eyeing the women and gender studies classes too! In high school, I was president of the student government, editor in chief of the newspaper, proud member of the knitting club, and head of the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (emphasis on alliance!). I would love to meet people to collab on Instagram infographics, visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and drink oat milk lattes with. Some of my role models are Hillary Clinton, Lena Dunham, and Ruth Bader Ginsberg (RIP RBG), so I’m so excited to be surrounded by so many strong independent womxn here at Wellesley #glassceilingsaremeanttobebroken #HERstory. Anyone else going to bring their New Yorker tote bag with them on the first day of classes?? Can’t wait to see everyone on campus, and don’t forget to vote!

The “Globetrotter”

Hi everyone, my name is Gloria von Siemens, and I’m from Dubai, but I was born in Barcelona and I grew up in Singapore, and I’ve lived in Milan, Paris, Cairo, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Genovia, Cordovia, and Vancouver, so I’m sort of from all over the place lmao. I’m looking forward to going to Wellesley so that I can explore Boston more (even though I’ve been like ten times already lol), take classes at MIT, and take more classes at MIT. I was in the IB program so I’m excited to take courses at the college level! You can catch me around campus in my Canada Goose jacket and Hunter boots that I bought for that infamous New England weather! Also if anyone wants to split an Uber XL with me into Boston so you don’t have to take the bus, hit me up!
