The Keohane Sports Center (KSC) closed for construction two weeks ago, and renovations are scheduled to finish in December. Although most of the Field House is closed, many facilities and events that usually take place in the KSC will be moved to other places on campus during construction. Most physical education classes and sports practices will remain in the KSC undisrupted, and Wellesley College Facilities will post any future alterations on their page of the College website.
KSC hours will remain the same, with variations during breaks and finals. The current hours of operation are noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays, 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. from Mondays to Thursdays, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
Strength training and some cardio exercise equipment will be moved to the lower level in the KSC, while the spinning bikes will be relocated nearby in the squash courts. The rest of the cardio equipment will be moved to the residential quad, specifically in the old dining area of Cazenove Hall.
Indoor tennis and rock climbing will be unavailable until the end of construction, and the pool will be unavailable through the majority of summer session from June 9 to Aug. 23. Other facilities, such as the fields complex outside the field house, dance studios and the multipurpose gymnasium, will stay open throughout construction.
