    CGP leads discussion on failure

    In the President’s Report Adeline Lee ’16 discuss the upcoming series on failure sponsored by the College Government President’s Council. This series is called Fail Safe, and it will discuss the meaning of failure and success on Wellesley’s campus. The first event will take place on April 20 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. in all residential neighborhoods. At this event, alumna will be present to share stories about their failures and successes at Wellesley. The next major event for Fail Safe will take place April 23 at Alumni Hall Ballroom. This event will be a community brunch with faculty, administrators, and alumni.

    Office of Institutional Research expresses need for student feedback

    Pamela Taylor from the Office of Institutional Research came to Senate to present on the importance of students completing the surveys that are sent via student email. The data collected from the surveys is very helpful for the institution in regards to gauging the general opinion of the campus on a certain issue. For example, student feedback from surveys led to the hiring of an individual Title IX Coordinator. She stressed that student feedback is essential however, she did acknowledge that there are many surveys sent out. Therefore, she said she would work to limit the number sent. Also, the Office is working to make the results of the surveys sent out public knowledge when the study is completed.
