Police Blotter

09/26/17 Unclassified 2:06 p.m. Nehoiden Golf Course

The RP, a WC student, reported that some golfers yelled at her to get out of the way as she walked across the fairway on the golf course. An officer met with the RP. Report filed. Case closed.

09/26/17 fire-accidental 5:44 p.m. Tunnels

The RP, a WC staff member, reported smoke and an electrical burning odor. Officers were dispatched. WFD was notified. Report filed. Case closed.

09/28/17 unclassified 12:36 a.m. Lake Waban

The RP, a WC visitor, reported that her elderly mother suffers from dementia and is missing in the area around the lake. Officers were dispatched and conducted a campus-wide search. The Town of Wellesley PD and Town of Natick PD were also advised. A WCPD officer located the missing woman and she was reunited with her family. Report filed. Case closed.

09/28/17 Well-being 5:53 p.m. Pomeroy

The RP, a WC counselor, requested a well-being check for a student. Officers were dispatched. The counselor later informed WCPD she made contact with the student who was off campus at the time. Report filed. Case closed.

10/02/17 Injury 6:09 p.m. Keohane Sports Center

WCPD officers were dispatched to respond for a report of a child who was injured and may require medical attention. WFD and Medics also responded. The injured child was transported to Children’s Hospital in Boston. Report filed. Case closed.

10/02/17 Illness 10:26 p.m. Campus Police Headquarters

The RP, a WC student, entered the station to inform us that she had fainted earlier in the evening and was being transported to the hospital by a friend. Report filed. Case closed.

10/03/17 Injury 12:58 a.m. Lake House

The RP, a WC student, caught her right thumb in the door of a Wellesley College vehicle during an escort. Basic first aid was rendered. No need for medical transport. Report filed. Case closed.
