There is always something new to see in Boston and Cambridge, and the food scene is no exception. Whether you’re looking for something to do on a weekend or a way to escape the stress of midterms
Grainmaker
With a new location in Somerville, right next to the Davis Square stop on the red line, Grainmaker is one of the restaurants I’m most excited to try. The menu boasts everything from poke bowls to tacos, and is 100 percent gluten and dairy free!
The Mad Monkfish
Located a couple blocks away from the Mass Ave. stop on the Local Motion, the Mad Monkfish’s claim to fame are its live jazz performances. The menu is a little pricey, but the allergy free sushi is definitely worth it.
Beat Brew Hall
With awesome pub fare ranging from chili cheeseburgers to truffle fries, this Harvard staple boasts live music and other fun themed nights. It can be found just a short walk down Brattle Street away from the Harvard stop on the Senate Bus.
Trident Book Store and Cafe
Yes, technically this is a bookstore, but the food is amazing! The attached cafe is home to several kinds of teas and is an excellent place to study. Located a short walk away from the Marlborough stop, check the events calendar online for everything from trivia to themed murder mystery dinners.
