It turns out I just had to change the venue from the beach to the mountains and do the wedding in the winter instead of spring. Even though I always wanted a spring beach wedding, I’m willing to make some sacrifices. I mean, this is my soulmate, right? If I squint hard enough, the Venn diagram of compromise and changing yourself for someone else just looks like a phallic oval. And I already squint because I have astigmatism, so it works out.
