Office of Institutional Research expresses need for student feedback
Pamela Taylor from the Office of Institutional Research came to Senate to present on the importance of students completing the surveys that are sent via student email. The data collected from the surveys is very helpful for the institution in regards to gauging the general opinion of the campus on a certain issue. For example, student feedback from surveys led to the hiring of an individual Title IX Coordinator. She stressed that student feedback is essential however, she did acknowledge that there are many surveys sent out. Therefore, she said she would work to limit the number sent. Also, the Office is working to make the results of the surveys sent out public knowledge when the study is completed.
