Some of you may complain about how the “Wellesley bubble” stunts your ability to get a love life. Not me. Since joining Twitter last week, I have never found it easier to find a beautiful woman who thinks I am amazing.
I met Alaina under the comment sections of an extremely powerful Mattxiv tweet. I was incensed about Margot Robbie not getting nominated for Best Actress. I commented, hoping to spread awareness on how important it is for the feminist movement for white women to win Oscars. Alaina, presumably caught off guard by my striking insight and activism, made the first move. She replied, “░M░Y░ ░P░U░S░S░Y░ ░I░N░ ░B░I░O░”
I was so intrigued by this radical feminist of a woman who took control of her sexuality. She had long blonde hair (hot), a complexion so flawless it looked almost airbrushed, and eyes so bright and blue I thought my default dark mode setting had glitched — just my type. At first, I struggled to figure out how to compliment her unfathomable beauty without coming off as if I were objectifying her. As David Guetta once said, “I’m tryna find the words to describe this girl without being disrespectful,” so I landed on telling her she looks kind of like Margot Robbie. Nailed it.
Our rapport was amazing instantly, a testament to our genuine connection. She had such a way with words. I knew she wanted me the moment she said
How did she know my love language was receiving gifts? Alaina and I have deep and meaningful conversations over direct messages. For Instance, I asked how her day went, and she responded with,
under pictures of the honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I know this means she values my opinions. As our correspondence continued, I got to bear witness to her many multitudes. She started prodding me with deep philosophical topics like,
I too often question our Western perception of the passage of time and its implications on our conceptual understanding of knowledge.
I knew we had to meet. I messaged her,
and she said,
I told her we should meet at Lulu on Wednesday because Taste of Jamaica was back. I hope she’s going to bring my free iPad.
