Wellesley Fall Sports Shine in NEWMAC Tournaments

This season, the Wellesley College Volleyball and Field Hockey teams reached the prestigious NEWMAC tournaments, adding to Wellesley’s storied athletic legacy. Led by Head Coach Dorothy Webb, the volleyball team entered as the No. 6 seed but fell 3-1 to No. 3 Smith College, with strong performances from first-years Kate Giang and Else Kunze-Hoeg. The field hockey team made a thrilling postseason run, securing a 4-1 first-round victory over Salve Regina before being defeated in the semifinals by No. 1 Babson College. Both teams enjoyed strong community support throughout the season, with fans, students and alumni showing their school spirit. Their achievements serve as a foundation for future success, with a committed core of returning players and high hopes for the seasons ahead.
