Class of 2028 through the numbers

With the Supreme Court’s overturning of Affirmative Action, the college application landscape has been undeniably altered. We noticed some interesting statistics in President Johnson’s email detailing the demographic breakdown of Wellesley’s class of 2028:

35% of the incoming class identifies themselves as part of the LGBTQ+ community, which is 30% more than last week.

We can now proudly say that we have students hailing from all 50 of the world’s top boarding schools.

Our endowment is projected to grow by $75,000,000 this fiscal year alone. This is due to 100% of the class of 1938 dying.

397,609,876,5600 is a really big number!

75% of students self-reported that they were interested in cross registering with MIT. Coincidentally, 100% of students believed “cross register” is a euphemism for sex with a CS major.

In congruence with the ongoing Bay Area Epidemic, we’ve seen a 49% increase in people saying they live near San Francisco, with a shocking 12% drop in students actually within 50 miles of the bay.

80% of students placed in Tower Court who requested non-smoking roommates have been seen passing 2 cigarettes around with their 15 person friend groups (that WILL last the next 4 years)

Only 1 student has a “K” in their name, kinda weird right?

70 / 80 incoming international students already know each other! These global citizens are a diverse group of students coming to us from a total of 3 different international schools!

Our carbon footprint has increased by 1,236 tonnes of greenhouse gasses from the sheer amount of orgs fair emails the class of ’28 signed up for but will never read.
