“The Drama” Lacked Some Drama

“The Drama” is not a bad movie by any metric — I laughed throughout it, sometimes awkwardly, sometimes not, and it’s set in Cambridge, MA. Still, the film is just a lot of missed opportunities.

How About Human Annihilation?

Every few months, when I remember Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things, I text my friend to remind her yet again how much I hated that film. Still, I continue watching Lathimo’s works, from The Favourite (one of my favorites), The Lobster, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, up to his most recent work: Bugonia – a form of self-flagellation that made me progressively madder. This is not an unbiased review.
