To start this school year off right, we had one of our writers venture into the walls of Clapp Library to make a secret deposit. (This was not hazing, but if she didn’t do it, she may have been kicked from The Snooze.) With the help of 6.7 alumni donations and funds skimmed from the Equestrian Club, we successfully gathered 3 million dollars as a gift for Wellesley’s 150th anniversary!
Instead of using this funding for.. Idk paying our writers or something, we have orchestrated a giveaway! Entry is free and easy, just follow the rules listed.
1: Send your full name, email address, the name of your childhood pet, SSN, and a selfie to [email protected]
2: Enter Clapp library at exactly 8:37PM and successfully hide in between the bookshelves until midnight.
3: Find Extraordinary Women of the Rocky Mountain West and repeat the 15th line of page 63 six times in the gender neutral bathroom on the first floor.
4: Get Cracking! We recommend bringing a portable jackhammer, but anything swingable will do. Create as much destruction as fast as possible.
We are hosting this giveaway to raise awareness for the jobs lost after Clapp was completed. You may think the real prize is the money to pay tuition for ~2.5semesters (4 credits max) (housing not included), but the real goal is to set Clapp back to the first stage of renovation. Maybe stage zero if we work hard enough! We at The Snooze miss the constant hammering, cement dust, and incoherent shouting from the construction site. It reminded us of the uniquely supportive environment Wellesley offers. Let’s bring it back, one chip at a time 🙂
