Instructor: Wendy Wellesley (ww10000000)
Office Hours: 8:00-8:05am, on a canoe in the middle of Lake Waban
Required texts: The Holy Bible; One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish; My divorce papers
Attendance policy: I understand that you are all nuanced human beings with complicated lives and may need to miss a class or two. Things come up—this is totally forgivable! If you miss three sessions, however, I will assume you are not serious about this class and therefore must do the following:
- drop your grade by 500%
- fuck your mom and tell her about what a bad little girl you’ve been
- find out what god you pray to and kill her
Please note that being tardy by more than the duration of “Back That Azz Up” counts as an absence.
Grading: So as to not put too much weight on one exam or assignment, you will be evaluated in the following four categories:
- 10% – Attendance and participation
- 20% – Exams
- 30% – How much I like your outfit today
- 40% – Idk, just like, vibes
Exams cannot, under any circumstances, be made up at a later date. As of now, exams are scheduled for the following days:
- September 12th, 2001
- October 31st
- Your birthday
- Yesterday! Oops! You already missed one 🙁
AI Use Policy*
Sure! Here’s a sample AI Use Policy you can include in your college course syllabus or guidelines.
AI Use Policy – [Course Name], [Semester/Year]
⚠️ Disclosure Requirements:
If you use an AI tool in completing an assignment, you must include a short disclosure (e.g., in a footnote or appendix) stating:
“Portions of this assignment were assisted by [AI Tool Name] for [describe purpose, e.g., grammar checking, brainstorming]. All final content was reviewed and edited by the student.”
Failure to disclose AI use when required may result in an academic integrity violation.
Would you like a stricter or more lenient version, or tailored examples for STEM, writing, or art-focused courses?
Title IX: Pursuant to Wellesley College policy, all employees, including faculty, are considered responsible employees. That means that any disclosure of discrimination, harassment or sexual misconduct to a faculty member will need to be shared with the College’s Director of Non-Discrimination Initiatives/ Title IX and ADA/Section 504 Coordinator.). Students who do not wish to have these issues disclosed to the College should speak with confidential resources who are the only offices at the College that do not have this same reporting obligation. On campus, confidential resources include Health Services (781-283-2810 available 24/7), the Stone Center Counseling Services (781-283-2839 available 24/7) and the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life (781-283-2685). You should assume that any person employed on campus outside of these three confidential offices has an obligation to share information with Wellesley College through the Office of Non- Discrimination Initiatives.
So excited for the semester ahead!
